In 1974, the Beetle had made way for the Golf on the German production lines. This did not stop the brand from continuing on with its iconic model, this time with a limited Big series. The latter was marketed in England, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and Germany. It was equipped with a unique dashboard, a sports steering wheel and a 1600 cm³ engine of 50 horsepower. The Ontario Blue livery made its way into the car with a specific upholstery with skai and corduroy.
